This is Anya who is the 8 year old daughter of my clients Julia and David. I recently did various curtains and blinds for their lovely Appleford home and noticed Anya making things with her nana’s sewing machine and a sewing kit from her grandma
Having a constantly growing stash of leftover bits of fabric and not wanting to just throw them away….. I gave a large bag full of fabric & trimmings to Anya. She was so happy and grateful and got to work straight away.
She has made various bags, purses and even a skirt and her enthusiasm and obvious talent has been so lovely to see and I’m sure will be useful to her for years to come.
Who knows….she could end up running her own sewing business 😃
